Kim Kardashian: A Look we Love?

We go overboard on her.  We fell off the wagon on her for awhile, but honestly no one is a better as a muse for beauty.  She loves to experiment with looks while offering a consistency of beauty branding that is unique.

For a recent photo shoot she added in some candy paint red hair extensions?  What are your thoughts?  We can quite decide.

Want These Waves? Then you need these!

If you love luscious waves and covet the fab hair of Celebrity Hairnistas like Kim Kardashian, then flexible rods need to be the next addition to your hair arsenal. (more)

The video below gives the low-down on these easy to use rollers:

“Bendy hair curlers are made of a soft, flexible foam, which sits gently on the head to create voluminous curls. A basic rolling technique, which starts at the tip of the hair and works its way up to the scalp, and the right amount of tension will help you create that beautiful, bouncy head of hair using bendy hair curlers. These curlers are ideally suited to a slightly longer length of hair because they can remain secure on the head.

  1. Part your hair down the middle back of your head into two even sections. Drape each section of hair over your shoulder.
  2. Pull out a section of hair near the back of the head that measures between one to two inches, depending on the thickness of your hair. Thicker hair will require rolling smaller sections of hair, while you can roll finer hair in larger chunks.
  3. Brush the section of hair with a hairbrush from the roots to the tips. Spray with a setting product from root to tip. Be careful to only lightly spray the section, rather than drenching the hair.
  4. Place the bendy curler at the tip of the hair and tuck the tips under the bendy curler. Roll the curler up towards your scalp, keeping a steady tension between the hair roots and the curler.
  5. Bend the bendy curler into a "U" shape once the curler hits the scalp. Be sure that the bendy curler hits the scalp. If necessary, bend the curler into a complete "O" shape to hold loose hair in place.
  6. Allow hair to set for a few hours. The hair should be completely dry from the setting product before you remove the curlers. To remove the bendy curlers, unbend from the "O" or "U" shape and unwind. Once you have removed all of the bendy curlers, tousle the curls gently with your fingers. “

You can vary the size of the rods depending on the size of waves/curls you’re looking for.  These require no heat so there is no risk of damage to your hair or your hair extensions.  These rods at varying sizes can be found at your local Sunny’s starting at only $3.99.

Congrats Kim Kardashian....

It's been drowned out with all of us focusing on life post Oprah... but seeing Kim Kardashian on the cover of People reminded us.. that we really did at one point declare Kim Kardashian our all time favorite Sunny's Girl.   Even though we are looking for a replacement...we still do love her and wish her well in her next venture:  marriage.

She looks lovely and soft on the cover of People magazine.

Trend setting with Roller setting!

People are always wondering how do you get those natural deep waves that last all day like the Kardashian's without having to recurl your hair every day?

Remember back to your younger simpler days... every time we had our own hair done  we'd go to bed with rollers? And no matter what we did we had volume for the whole day the next day.....well, if we apply this method to our hair extensions not only does it look full and flowy but something about roller setting makes 'weaves' look a little bit more natural.

We are aware of how uncomfortable they are so instead of rollers we can try using the bendable rods and before you go to bed, just:
Roller setting does a little bit more than hot curling...and takes your look throughout the day....try it and change your hair...change your life!

Kim K's New Fragrance Ad

We are complete Kim K fans. But... we're not one for celebrity perfumes. Just not a trend we generally love. But...we had a chance to smell Kim K's new fragrance in the latest issue of In Style and...wow!

It's the perfect blend of Marc Jacobs and Michael Kors with a a lovely note of gardenia. We might just have to pick it up.

The only thing we have to say is Kim....where's the hair? We love Kim because she makes us want to run out and buy 26" Indian Hair with soft waves and this commercial just doesn't have that effect. But... we do love the perfume.

What do you think...has anyone picked it up? It's being sold exclusively at Sephora.com...a brilliant marketing move!

Keeping up with the Kardashians...in case we haven't mentioned...they're always a Look we Love

I don't know if we emphasize enough recently that we love the Kardashians? It's like we haven't blogged about how we absolutely refuse to miss an episode on Sunday night.

We love how they aren't afraid to embrace being feminine and pretty especially when the trend is for everyone to be so hard.

But what we love the most about them is how much they love hair extensions and how well they all wear hair extensions.

Each week in season 4 they all have just amazing hair. We always get people of all races requesting their look and we always have two words: Indian Hair.

Specifically Natural Wave Indian Hair in 22 or 26". That's the only way to get the natural free flowing extensions that the Kardashians have.

Keeping up with Kim... A day off from Extensions!

We love love the Kardashian's and even though Khloe's spunk and Kourtney's candor are great we do think as a hairnista...Kim is our favorite.

So..we totally feel you Kim on taking a day off from the hair extensions. Sometimes your head needs a break from the sew-ins, the clip ins or the strand by strand extensions.

Since Kim Kardashian is the most requested Celeb style asked for at all of our stores we all tell people not to feel bad about their hair and that they all wear hair extensions. And here's our proof!

Happy New Year's!

Looks we Love: Kim Kardashian

We know, we know.

We always love Kim K.

But we can't help it. She has fabulous hair.

To recreate her look we use the Lord & Cliff One Piece Extension in color 2 and put in soft waves with a 1 1/2" Curling Iron. We would then use a bump it to secure volume near the crown. BTW... bump it's are randomly so so great! Why didn't someone invent them much sooner?

So...there you have it...Kim K. We can't wait to see Keeping up with the Kardashians this Sunday!!!

Looks we Love: Kim Kardashian, LaLa and Ciara

The ultimate Sunny's Girl celebrated her birthday this past weekend in Las Vegas. What a stylish set of friend's she has.

To achieve LaLa and Ciara's look we'd recommend 10 ounces of Indian Hair Natural Wave in 22". To recreate their long big-barreled curls we'd blow out the Indian Hair and then using a lightweight hairspray such as AirControl by Aveda we'd use a 1" curling iron to create spiral curls and then set with pins to cool into the curls.

To recreate Kim Kardashian's ode to Sasha Fierce we'd use the ever so easy Lord & Cliff One Piece Clip In Extensions and clip it in towards the nape of the neck and crown area and secure that into a high ponytail. We'd tease the crown area to recreate the voluminous pump ponytail look.

Yay! Kim Kardashian is saying bye bye to Blonde

We love love love Kim Kardashian... she just might be our favorite Sunny's Girl. So we had to say we were a little sad when she abandoned her signature dark hair for blonde this summer.

So we are so happy to read on her blog that she's going back to her roots this fall.

Are you ready to embrace fall?

Considering returning to your roots for fall? Consider using Clip In Extensions to gradually flirt with the right color for your roots.

Need color suggestions?
Lord & Cliff Clip In Hair in colors:
  • 4, 4/27/M30/33, 6/30 These are medium brown colors with auburn highlights
  • 8/10/24, 6/16/12/613 These are ash blonde with dark blonde undertones

We see Adrienne Bailon: Love the Hair Extensions

Whether singing our fave get ready for the club song Neva get Enough with 3LW or representing in Disney's The Cheetah Girls or front and center on our fave hair extensions reality show Keeping up with the Kardashians...Adrienne has always been on the Sunny'radar screen.

So we are loving her new waist length hair extensions she rocked in her Honey Magazine layout.

To achieve her long luscious curly hair extensions we'd use Indian Hair Natural Curl in 26" and allow the curls to dry with a little bit of Agadir Argan Oil and Curl Defining Product and allowing to dry with a diffuser.

Is it a look we love?

Wow!

We Kim K is living our mantra... Change your Hair... Change your Life.

We love Kim K at Sunny's but we always loved how she stayed true to her dark hair and owned the look.

Now we are left to ponder who's gonna represent the brunette bombshell vixen spot now that Kim has gone sun-kissed blonde.

We are guessing that her recent breakup left her wanting a change and while she does look stunning we are quite sure yet if this is a look we love.... So we will leave it up to you...

Well if you love Kim K's look and want to recreate it here are some recommendations

Short Term Look:
Smooth and Straight Clip Ins in Color 479. One of our top selling colors delivers that perfect multi-tonal blonde that we all pine for.

Long Term Look:
Strand by Strand Extensions by 909 in 20" Silky Straight. We would purchase one pack of 613 for platinum highlights, Two Packs 909 of 14/22 for Golden Rich Blonde and Two packs of 479 for rich luscious dimension.

We see you Khloe and Kourtney: Love the Hair Extensions!!!!

We love love love the Kardashian sisters. They are spunky, entrepreneurial and most of all hair extension junkies. So of course we are so excited for the premiere of their new show Kourtney and Khloe take Miami!

We love the hair extensions they are rocking. They embrace their natural hair color and texture and just enhance it with extremely long hair. To recreate their look we'd recommend Indian Hair Natural Wave in 22".

Kourtney and Khloe most likely use individual pretipped hair extensions towards the nape of the neck to enhance their length and have versatility.

For those who can't quite commit to the drama of long hair, we'd recommend the Make it Sunny's Custom Clip in option to allow for experimenting with long hair.
