Color your Own Indian Hair Extensions vs. Buy Pre-Dyed Hair Extensions
You want blonde hair... in fact you want Beyonce's Blonde Ombre hair extensions that have that perfect ice queen blonde; so you figure you will just buy Virgin Indian Hair and dye it yourself. $500 and two weeks later you are left with brassy orange frizzy and dry Indian Hair and you look nothing like Beyonce. What went wrong?
Dying Indian Hair extensions is a difficult process. Most Indian Hair is a true black so when lifting it it tends to go red very very quickly creating the brassy results you hate. In addition, most Indian hair while "Virgin" might have had henna or indigo treatments which chemically react with the hair dye that you are using to alter the results.
Virgin Indian hair can create some gorgeous and natural results when you are lifting the hair no lighter than a level 8 and you take time to gradually lift the hair while treating it in between lifting sessions. Most people don't have 3 weeks and 2 different appointments to spare to achieve the color they want. That's when pre-dyed hair extensions is both a time and money saver. Just because the hair is not Virgin Hair Extensions does not mean that it won't deliver gorgeous natural results.
Our recommendation is when you want to deposit color or experiment with a chocolate, honey, caramel or auburn tones use Virgin Indian Hair and color it yourself or by your stylist.
If you want blonde hair use a brand that has ashy versions of Blonde: our favorite Revlon Remy or Le Prive by Hair Couture. Always opt for colors that have at least 3-4 different numbers in them. Our personal favorite 14/24/27/613.
